Backwater Technology LLC and its storefront, Backwater Warehouse, were founded in 2020 by Shawn Hinchy.

Looking to find a way to combine his passion for the outdoors with his Engineering experience, he decided to create Backwater Technology and pursue making products for the outdoor recreation market.
